It's amazing how looking for one simple item can transform a beautifully spotless room into one that looks like a parade of horses made their way through in a hurry. When you're in a rush, there really is no easy and neat way to find a missing shoe in your room that happened to somehow wander away from the other. Before you know it, you've found the shoe, but everything else is now covered by layers of clothes that got thrown around in the process.
This "My room was clean yesterday, sorry you missed it!" hanging sign is a little note to those who encounter the aftermath letting them know that, at one point, it was in fact clean despite its current condition. Who knows, maybe one day, they'll be able to see in completely spotless condition, but in the meantime, at least you have the sign letting them know what they're in for.
