We’ve had a few ducks come through our warehouse but this one - well, it’s quite the sight. The ‘Beach Duck Sml’ at 7x6x14.5cm is all about energy. You don’t just see the movement in that neck, tail and chest - you get a sense of playfulness from the big blue beach ball sitting under its wing, the pronounced feather boa around the next and the choice of colours throughout.
Now when you look at resin ducks, things tend to get predictable very fast. They all try and keep it safe with yellow beaks, plain white bodies and orange feet, but this one really breaks away from tradition. The thin blue band running through the middle is filled with geometric shapes in black and it’s right here where you start to see things change up.
It’s hard to describe exactly what it is about this duck but there’s some sort of uniqueness here that just isn’t in other pieces. Maybe it’s that bright yellow shade on those webbed feet, or perhaps it’s how easily this fits into a fun beachside setting?
