We think this is one of those candleholders that's actually got that bit of presence - and now and then you need an accent piece that can do a little of the talking for the shelf. This shell design works nicely with all sorts of looks, but it's not too loud about it. Tuscan tones bring in some gentle coastal warmth - not so much beachy as just laidback Mediterranean - and you get plenty of dimension without anything clashing or trying too hard.

We've put this one out in offices and in living areas where you want an ambient glow that isn't trying to be a chandelier. And as much as we love the bold, colourful candelabra, it never hurts to be reminded that soft, glazed ceramics really are timeless for a reason. At 6.5 by 6.5 by 7.5 centimetres, this is never going to crowd your tabletop or bench display either. And it's enough of a departure from glassware that it'll probably catch even more attention for its fun, original silhouette.
