Have you ever noticed how sometimes the simplest things can completely change how a table setting looks? These Cork Placemats Hamptons S/4 just seem to have that effortless charm. We’re seeing more of our retailers choose cork because it’s eco-conscious and durable, but also, these ones have such lovely artwork on them, it almost feels a shame to cover them with plates. It’s good though – they hold up to spills and are easy to clean (just a quick wipe with a damp cloth), which honestly is what customers usually look for in placemats.
We’re loving the earthy brown and white design - it blends right in with Hamptons-inspired décor but would just as easily match any neutral dining area or outdoor entertaining space. The round shape at 30x30x1cm means there’s plenty of room for dishes without things feeling crowded or getting too fussy. These make a statement for brunch or family lunches, and well, even just coffee dates really. They do feel much more boutique than regular placemats – soft but sturdy cork, interesting illustrated details. And we’ve noticed customers like these as gifts because they’re fresh, Australian, and you don’t have to worry about size - so the set of four is ideal.
One tip - using neutral, botanical-inspired designs like this has a way of making people relax around the table. Not quite sure why, but it works! For any retailers who want something genuinely pretty yet very practical for homewares displays… these cork placemats have been popular across country shops and city stores alike.
