We think the Turtle Antique Doorknocker adds a pretty charming twist to what’s usually a very simple home accessory. This little cast iron beauty - 7.5x3.5x11.5cm, easy size for just about any front door or office entrance - has a lot of character and feels really solid in your hand. The muted, weathered finish makes it look like it’s been there forever, but also it would just as easily sit right at home on a new, modern build as on a character home or beachside cottage.
We’ve found doorknockers are starting to make a comeback - big oversized ones aren’t always everyone’s style, but something like this with an animal motif often appeals to people who want a bit of fun and personality on their doorstep. And the turtle shape is quirky without being childish or out of place, so lots of different customers have picked these up to add something special to the entrances and exits in their homes.
