Doorstop Frog Prince
The Doorstop Frog Prince always cracks us up a little. The top half of it is a frog - and it’s pretty detailed too! You can see the little features and folds on its body so you’d think the makers would go for a slightly more realistic style overall. But then you look up at the face and there’s that gold crown.
It’s kind of like a fairy tale but brought into the modern day, don’t you think? The whole thing is cast in solid iron so it’s heavier than it might seem at first glance. But the finish is matte and dark with textured ridges and folds all along its body, so there’s a certain softness to the appearance. It doesn’t look as rough or unfinished as some other metallic pieces.
Pair this with other sculptural doorstops or use it as something entirely by itself in themed stores.
