Doorstop Sparrow

Doorstop Sparrow
Get that cottagecore vibe with this adorable Doorstop Sparrow. It has this wedge-shaped base topped with a little sparrow, which is so quaint and welcoming. The whole thing is made from cast metal in a distressed white finish that really brings out those brown and black accents. What makes it stand out to us, though, is the texture - it’s rough and rustic, giving it that vintage look that fits right in with farmhouse-style spaces. At just 8x12x9 cm, you get a compact piece that holds doors open reliably but doesn’t take up too much space or attention.

Not everything has to go in quietly. The wedge base makes sure doors stay open (or closed, if that’s the goal) without doing it in a way that - you know - ruins the style of the rest of the room. At 8x12x9cm, it’s one of those pieces that can handle big heavy doors, especially between rooms with a door that seems to want to do whatever it wants on windy days.
What we like about this one is that distressed paint finish. Some doorstops can come off looking really tacky but not this one, plus the cast metal construction gives you enough weight for heavier doors.
It sits at an interesting intersection between retro and current farmhouse so definitely works as a subtle accent whether or not there’s other natural materials in the rest of the room. If there are wood surfaces around - tables or desks or shelves - then they add some tough texture to any arrangement or look great sitting on their own keeping things open.
