Framed Canvas Banana Palms
We’ve had a chance to see this Framed Canvas Banana Palms up close and it’s got one of those finishes you can’t quite look away from. Its metallic gold leaf patches really do shine - but not in a way that distracts from the rest of the artwork. Mostly, it’s full of earthy, muted and sage-y green hues against soft off-white areas with those bold strokes forming the body of palm leaves. The way the colours and brushstrokes are layered is more than enough for this to double as abstract wall art. It does have a leafy silhouette but in some lighting, the iridescence from that gold leaf paint lends it an almost smoky, shimmering effect.
This is one of those slightly larger statement pieces at 80x110cm (canvas, wood, acrylic and plastic included) - excellent for display on feature walls or above console tables. We’ve seen it alongside walls with deep wooden trims or plain white accent walls; quite the fit for stores selling a rustic, contemporary or even botanical collection. Each piece will have slight variations in brushwork and finishing because they’re all hand finished - we do say that’s a quality some are after when it comes to original art pieces like these.
