Our Glass Dolphin & Coral Ball is a bit of an unexpected showstopper in person. At 8x8x8cm, it’s not exactly huge but there’s something about that palm-sized weight (and the way it catches the light) that just draws attention on a shelf. The clear glass has that perfectly glossy finish that suggests a little more thought has gone into it than your average knickknack.
The handblown pink coral inside looks intricate and delicate with heaps of detail, especially with all those air bubbles floating around - and then you spot two tiny dolphins perched above, done in an almost playful blue. It creates this real sense of movement that actually makes you do a double take every time.
We’re definitely fans of the handmade feel. The slight variations in the size and colouring and style mean each one feels unique - not churned out by a factory somewhere. And there’s some real value for shoppers who want to own something as original as possible.
These tend to sell best in shops with plenty of marine or aquatic themes, or even just those looking for one statement piece to tie a coastal corner together. It’s versatile - works on shelves, desks, or even as part of a kid’s room collection if you’re after something cheery but elegant.
