This Grey Wash Rooster is one of those decorative pieces that’s just got so much going on in terms of texture and its style that it almost doesn’t fit in anywhere, and somehow manages to fit in everywhere. It’s 27x13x35cm so you’re not really dealing with something that’s all too overwhelming in terms of a centrepiece, but the hand-carved rustic-faceting effect paired with the grey wash means this is definitely a statement piece.
It’s polyresin for the body, iron for the legs and it does tend to toe that line between what you’d want for farmhouse decor and what you’d expect from more modern inspired items. That bold red comb and wattle are just enough to make it feel like there’s a touch of realism without taking away from that artistic element, and it can work as a nice centrepiece on a coffee table or as an accent on any living room shelf.
