Getting an eye for that moment of surprise in a product has taken us many, many years as retailers ourselves. This particular leaf trinket tray pulled that off with such ease and playfulness that we started looking more closely to see where else it might add joy. Anyone who’s gone on a nature walk will instantly know this shape, it’s that familiar gentle broad curve and the longest stemmed profile - this one is cast in muted gold throughout with veining detail going all the way around. But then there’s a snail at the edge. Not some cheaply made impression of one but actually carefully cast on top of the tray so it sits snug against the vein ridges. It’s an endearing touch for a piece this size (24x9.5x5cm), especially since you can immediately imagine if being used to collect pebbles, shells or beads from outdoors activities - or even to hold watches and jewellery inside.
