We think every shop should have one really eye-catching piece. Something that makes people stop and stare for a moment, or just tilt their head. Our large Spottie Turtle Paperweight (17.5x17.5x9.5cm) is definitely that piece for some of us here! Crafted in glass with those cool pink splashes on blue, and a swirled rose-pink head, this turtle looks soft and gentle at first but we’ve found it has quite a presence wherever we’ve seen it placed. It’s heavy enough to be a functional paperweight but works just as well as sculpture. Actually - we think he really makes people smile. Each turtle is handmade and will have small differences in size, colour, shape or where the spots are placed - it’s why we love them so much - because they’re real glass art, not cookie-cutter pieces. And if you want to show off the handmade nature of homewares on your shelves, Spottie Turtle does that effortlessly too.
