Planter/Vase Blue Vintage
Plant pots like this really help set a mood for a whole space. We’re talking about that authentic blue-and-white style, lots of deep glaze work and the right amount of crackle so that it’s not just that all over fresh-out-of-the-kiln shine. The bulbous body is very traditional and there’s plenty of depth to display flower arrangements, dried branches or other foliage.
This is one of those planters that works so well as a statement piece - at 17.5x17.5x19.5cm it’s not going to disappear into the background and when you get up close you’ll see what we mean by the hand-painted finish, especially how it bleeds outwards from the centre in places. It’s got this real unique touch. And those slightly distressed parts around the rim and base give this a real aged look to it, while still maintaining that bright glossy finish overall.

This item has a rustic finish. Credits will not be given referencing this nature.
We’ll start by saying - the Planter/Vase Blue Vintage is big on drama. Proper bold blue hand-painted detailing. Curvy, wide rim. Slightly weathered edges that have a bit of 1800s-vintage museum inspiration. The ceramic body’s got this fine crackle running throughout the off-white glaze, so you can practically feel the age and history behind the piece. We’re talking about a fairly compact shape at 17.5x17.5x19.5cm so these are more about that statement - not table vases, nothing functional, but something that’s going to be a talking point by itself.
The painted blue work is great too - floral motifs in different shades for depth, and all lightly hand distressed along the rim and base for that lived-in effect that’s just classic Mediterranean style.
Not everyone likes this kind of intentionally rustic finish but if you’re like us and you love experimenting with timeless, evocative shapes - there’s no going wrong here.
