Someone’s got to say it – what happened to vintage farmhouse kitchens? The kind with the bright blue tiles, heaps of ornamental plates, and a couple of kitsch platters here and there. Our Plate Corn Cob is essentially the platonic ideal of a tabletop centrepiece and something that customers will go out and get because of how bright, colourful, and different it is.
The finish is a glossy ceramic so there is a lot of room for fun play on colour gradation – the green on the husks and the yellow corn kernels look just like an actual ear of corn. And we mean that in the best way possible. The whole idea behind this product is that playful edge meets nostalgia. Perfect as a decorative or serving plate (10x19x4.5cm) but make sure they’re not popped into microwaves or dishwashers! These are hand finished ceramics and variations are common so each customer gets to take home something that feels personal to them – which we know shoppers love!
