Plate Whale – 31x15x2cm
This whale-shaped ceramic plate just makes us smile – there's a sense of playfulness to it, but with a calm elegance that isn't garish or childish. It's got a glossy finish and is done up in the softest pastel blues, with those gentle beige touches on the mouth, tail, and that little dot for an eye. Customers might go for these for coastal décor shops, sure, but we do find they're surprisingly popular among kitchens and dining rooms - it's all about that playful vibe.
Measuring 31x15x2cm, we find that the whale dish can hold snacks and appetisers, or even just odds and ends to be set out in the living room or bedroom or even office reception - it's one of those visually versatile centrepieces. We should say that all these plates are hand finished too - so there will be minor imperfections here or there. We've found they add a sense of uniqueness though! Some pair these with other sea creatures and some find they've been using them more as trinket dishes for rings, earrings, keys, and wallets - you really never know with customers!
