Platter Flowering Gum
We can all agree that when it comes to a statement piece for any tableware arrangement, hand painted porcelain platters have that wow factor most modern manufactured ware lacks. That’s definitely the case with our Platter Flowering Gum, which is the kind of item you see in those magazine spreads where they don’t even have to mention what it is - it’s understood to be the centrepiece.
The platters are made from beautiful, thick 37x37x8cm porcelain with prominent sloping sides. They have a subtle lip along the rim to keep anything from spilling over, and speaking of lips you’ll find this double set of blue lines that go perfectly well with those stylised gum leaves along the bottom. Of course, these are handpainted and then glazed - there will be imperfections in finish and glazing this is part of their beauty.
Our recommendation is to play them up as a statement piece, as something that will liven up any space.
