Please note this item is finished using a reactive glaze so each piece is slightly different. This is the beauty of this style of glaze. This item is dishwasher and microwave safe.
With the Serving Platter/Dinner Plate Waiau, what you get is simplicity done right. Simple, in that there's nothing overdesigned here - no patterns, prints or fancy rims. Done right, in that it's still a versatile piece at 27cm with just a gentle 3.5cm rim for a lot of flexibility at the dinner table.
We see this as both a reliable dinner plate and also a serving platter because while the size is big enough for it to work for more than one person, at the same time it isn't so large that it can't be used for dinner. We also like that it can stand alone if you want to pair it with something that's not part of the set or buy as is.
It's stoneware but what's really interesting here is the reactive glaze - you'll see some subtle variations but that's what makes each piece unique. It finishes off with this light grey finish (with slightly darker edges) and gives you a sturdy plate/platter that's also dishwasher and microwave safe.
