Sign Close Gate
We’re seeing a lot more of these “close the gate” plaques coming through recently, and we really understand why - there’s nothing worse than having to chase down a runaway dog or explain to guests why they have to keep the gate shut. This one is 17.5x9x1cm, made from cast iron in black and white with a raised border and two holes for mounting on gates or fences. It’s got a good weight to it (not too heavy) and looks like it’ll hold up well in all conditions, so we think this is going to be popular with shoppers who want a reliable way to remind people that the gate needs closing.

Stocking up on signs for your outdoor area? We have you covered. A ‘Please Close the Gate’ sign like this one is an essential for any open space whether it’s a sprawling outdoor area or a small deck outside a cottage. The 17.5x9x1cm sign comes in a stylish white finish with black painted letters, which gives it a lovely visual contrast without going overboard in terms of style. The classic oval-shaped border works for farmhouse themes, cottagecore exteriors, and pretty much any outdoor set up that needs a gate sign.
And what we particularly enjoy about this piece is that it really comes alive with the hand finished details on the cast iron construction. The base is solid enough to withstand some degree of weathering while still maintaining that classic finish and the details in the paintwork and edges really make this sign pop when seen up close.
Perfect for shop displays and both new age and traditional stores alike, if you’re looking to stock signs or collect them yourself, we’d really recommend this one.
