Standout design. That’s the first thing that jumps out at us with our Hen Ornate Green (22.5x16x21.5cm). And it’s not just because of the distinctive red comb and golden beak, or those fine green and white details that cover its resin body from tip to tail. There’s a playfulness in its plump frame and silly tail – but a real sense of craft too. The patterns look hand-painted, repeating up the back of the hen in clever, almost hidden ways.
The intricate patterns are there for more than aesthetic – the organic nature of the whole hen adds so much character to a space and pairs really well with other animals or smaller metallic items. We think customers will appreciate it as a subtle nod to farm life and country living, without being too “rustic” or “cottagecore”. There’s definitely something about this one that makes it special. Maybe it’s just us being a touch passionate about animal figurines - the thing is, you don’t come across ornamentals like this every day.
