We’re seeing a growing interest in reclaimed timber for both homewares and giftware - there’s a certain warmth, an element of history, that really appeals. This whale is part of our current favourite collection from our reclaimed timber range. We just love this whale design - it’s coastal without being nautical. The weathered finish is just so comforting to look at - like it’s already been in someone’s house for a while and they’ve loved it.
The whale itself is 17cm long and the whole thing stands 19cm tall, so you get a really nice shape to look at. And because they’re made out of reclaimed wood, you actually get a unique piece every time. We find that customers are happy to take pieces with visible knots, splits, rough edges - that’s what really makes these whales feel special.
It feels quite premium but the price point is very competitive for retail, so you can stock up on these fairly easily if you have the shelf space available.
