Bakers Stand

We’ve had so many questions about how to make industrial chic feel a bit less urban - and more homely - and our Bakers Stand is one of those rare pieces that really just fits anywhere. Each time we bring this one out at trade shows, homewares retailers tell us they’re thrilled to find a shelving piece that bridges those two aesthetics - a bit Scandinavian, a little modern farmhouse, with those lovely rounded corners and practical flat timber shelves. It’s actually built to be a workhorse - not just for show - so it’s very happy with stacks of stoneware, pantry baskets, office supplies or even bathroom towels on top. We think the pale finish is what makes it so versatile. It’s definitely not just another “white shelf”, though. There’s enough soft texture in the matte timber to add interest without taking over as the focal point in the room. It’s 76cm by 39cm wide, standing 136cm high - spot on for kitchens, living rooms or workspaces. The painted white steel isn’t glossy or cold, either. It still has enough character to blend in with more natural timber around it. For gift stores and homewares retailers in particular, this is one of those pieces where our clients say: “we could see this being used for display too”.
