In 1815 M. Artiques established the factory of St. Anne at Baccarat where crystal and coloured glass of remarkable brilliance and clarity were produced, and it was not long after that beautiful opaline glass was developed. We believe our Teal Bottle Vase is a fine replica of the type of glass produced there at that time.
This vase stands at about nine inches in height and has a long slender neck that widens toward the bottom. A heavy base gives it the appearance of fine lead glass, and though there is no lead content in our vase, its magnificent colour has the same quality of appearance as the wonderful hand blown Venetian or Murano glass. This is a great vase to round out your home accessories inventory. It blends with contemporary as well as traditional pieces, so use it as a prop with your furniture displays, and add it to your gift department.
