Bud Vase Vintage Blue People often ask us what we mean when we describe a piece as vintage-inspired, and the best way we can answer them is by pulling out this bud vase. Vintage, or at the very least, a nostalgic style of ceramics have been all the rage for quite some time now - at the very least, in cyclical waves that pop up every decade or so - and this one perfectly straddles the world of contemporary meets classic. It has got this lovely round body with a short neck and flared rim. The surface is glazed in a classic white with beautiful blue florals and foliage painted all around its exterior. Each one is slightly different from the next because these are all handmade and finished before getting sealed on the inside to protect from rust. Of course, there will be some imperfections and variations here and there but that’s just what makes it interesting. We’ve got these measuring 13x13x12cm so they’re not exactly small but they’re pretty cute for holding a handful of fresh stems or dried bouquets as well.
