It's been a few hundred years since it began, but the Colonial style is one that never seems to diminish in popularity in interiors, furniture, and home goods, including glassware. Our Liberti Blue Cannister is one of those pieces that perfectly replicates handmade pieces by expert craftsmen of three hundred years ago, who used cobalt salts to colour glass because of the stability of their pigments.
• The urn shaped vase on the body of this piece leads to a straight top and is supported by a pedestal with a flat base and several flattened onion members that make up the stand. • The bell shaped lid tapers upward to a long slender handle and fits snuggly into the urn. • Cannister has the look of hand blown glass, and is reminiscent of the light cobalt blue used in the 18th century.
