They are almost round, their tiny little bodies smooth and almost without detailing except for the beak and the plume - the look absolutely adorable created mostly from the general shape of an egg. What could be a more interesting way of building in the farm and country kind of feel on tale and mantles than the inclusion of these antique looking chicken set with three pieces.
