This XL Clam Shell in White has been one of our biggest hits lately - literally and figuratively. It’s a big, beautiful piece at 53x36x19.5cm, crafted from resin, but it really does look like the real deal. We’ve had quite a few homewares retailers tell us their customers are using it for everything from coffee table centrepieces to serving up fresh seafood on special occasions. There’s something about the wavy white finish that just makes people want to touch it. We’ll admit - we did a double-take the first time we saw it styled with books and seashells on a console table. But then we kept seeing interiors pop up with clam shells stacked with fruit, displayed as catch-alls in lobbies, even used to hold candles and little trinkets in bathrooms. The neutral white works just about anywhere - coastal homes, beachy holiday rentals, classic Hamptons looks or the modern eclectic crowd who just love anything statement. Versatile is probably not a strong enough word for how many uses people have found for this piece. It feels contemporary and old-school at once, especially for those who love those underwater explorer vibes. Very ‘found this treasure while diving’ feel. We can see why it’s so popular on social media right now - we honestly don’t think this decor trend is going anywhere soon.
