It might be hard to see past the frosted glass beads and gold wire detailing on these, but the Earrings Almae are as much about visual texture as they are about tonal contrast. Each handcrafted earring is a variation of a teardrop-shaped gold wire frame and the mint green squares that run along most of the length of each one but without those transparent pale beads and solid white round ones in between, you’d lose some of the visual balance. At a little over 6cm, they’re not exactly shy but they definitely hold their own amongst collections where dainty pieces and fine detail work is what shoppers want. The strong zinc alloy make sure they’re never going to feel uncomfortable or heavy even after hours of wear.
We like to keep these close to our indoor planters at the back, either by draping them off planters with curved lips or letting them hang from small wall hooks if we can get away with it. It makes for an unusual display but people tend to reach for them regardless.
