You can feel the salt in the air just by looking at it - our Framed Canvas Lone Surfer really does capture that rugged, wild edge of the coastline. We think there’s something timeless and quietly striking about a black-and-white scene like this. There’s a stillness in it, but also a sense of anticipation if you know what we mean? It fits with so many contemporary interior decor stories right now - coastal, minimalist, even those modern farmhouse schemes that benefit from a hint of the ocean.
We designed this piece in 60 x 90 cm and finished it with a subtle pine frame that helps create some warmth and definition against the monochrome canvas. The textured surface gives it more depth than a print on glass or poster paper would.
We see it fitting into pretty much any home with an appreciation for the outdoors or surf - though we know quite a few offices who use pieces like this to add some focus to their breakout spaces too. It just works.
