Garden Whale Stake

Metal garden stakes in animal shapes are one of those impulse buys that can really liven up a shop window or walkway, and our Garden Whale Stake does it with a touch of rustic charm. It's a 90cm stake (15cm at its widest point) with a brown, textured finish that looks a bit like rusted iron, which helps it blend into the garden just enough to make that whale silhouette pop out. We've added a smaller cutout of the same shape right in the centre to give it this whimsical, coastal feel - it's got that two-dimensional flair without being too flat.

We get a few questions every now and then about our Garden Whale Stake - it’s one of those things you have to have in your hands to fully appreciate, but we’ll try and do it justice. This is a 90x.5x15cm garden stake made of metal in a weathered brown finish (almost like a deep clay). The theme is sea-inspired which instantly puts smiles on faces - at least it does for us! The design is actually a bit clever. It’s got the silhouette of a whale (and we mean this in the best possible way), but with clean, soft lines that don’t scream for attention but don’t try and blend into the background either. There’s also a smaller whale inside for that warm home decor vibe. We find that this works quite well as part of collections (specifically outdoor), and while the finish is industrial, somehow it blends in quite seamlessly with even more contemporary styles. And yes, the rust finish is hand crafted so if you happen to spot any imperfections, they’re supposed to be there!
