Another one of those pieces that we keep coming back to - glass balls. If you’re stocking a range of coastal, beach, or the oh-so-australian nautical pieces, this is one you need in store. The Glass Rope Ball XS Olive is, as the name suggests, a petite but weighty 10x10cm glass ball (or globe) made from glossy olive green glass and wrapped in hardy jute rope. We think it’s the kind of accent piece you place front and centre alongside driftwood, sea shells, and coral but it also works as a hanging ornament. And that’s kind of what we love about its versatility - that loop on top means it can hang off hooks, doorknobs or even next to a vintage wall clock so long as it isn’t too high up where it might fall off. The jute rope is knotted all around so there’s plenty of coverage and it doesn’t leave much glass exposed for chipping or breakage. This also means the rope holds the globe in place instead of just sitting loosely like you see with a lot of alternatives out there in the market. We find these work well in coastal dining rooms, coffee tables that have a nautical theme going on (with compasses and anchors as accents), and as standalones right near entryways or lobbies in low-lit lighting where the glossy finish stands out more.
