Jug Sona

We have a soft spot for things that look like they've been around for decades, and this jug brings the perfect worn-in feel. It's about as rustic as it gets with its weathered bronze finish, and the shape is really what stands out: tapered body, wide spout, and a handle that comes right up to the top. It's 21x14x21cm so you get enough surface area to work with but not too much where it dominates a setting; we see it doing especially well on shelves or as centrepieces in dining rooms.

With the Jug Sona, we like to think you get a certain confidence out of it. The rustic, farmhouse-inspired jug is sculpted from metal (iron to be exact) in this just lightly bronzed shade that’s got these really subtle streaks running down from top to bottom and we have to say - even though they’re not particularly aged, that distressed effect gives you a pretty close approximation of that charming, French cottage flair. And while it does look rusted (it isn’t), there’s an actual smoothness to this piece that makes it a little more practical than your typical iron jug. Its curve is subtle but distinct and for something sitting at 21x14x21cm, it does a nice job of standing out on its own - or filled with anything but water. Last thing. Since these are handcrafted, you’ll find small variations in size and finish. We don’t see this as a flaw - more like a signature of handcrafted quality - but figured that’s worth mentioning anyway.
