Keyring Butterfly

There’s something a bit enchanting about a butterfly that catches the light - it’s probably why we’re still obsessed with this keyring after all these years. It just sits in your hand, gold and glittering, without feeling overdone or gaudy. The polished metal really is high quality, the stones are all secure and neatly placed, and the lobster clasp feels really solid - so no one will be worried about losing their keys if they’re attached to this little beauty.

At 4 x 5cm for the actual butterfly (with an extra length for its split ring), it’s a piece that could be marketed in lots of ways - as a handbag charm, on keyrings as intended, attached to zips on travel luggage or backpacks – really you can get creative with this one when showing customers what it could look like in their daily life. We find that it does best with anyone who likes feminine accessories with loads of sparkle (so teens especially), but we’ve had quite a few older ladies come through looking for an affordable trinket to cheer up handbags they’ve had forever too!

Keyrings are one of those things that everyone needs but rarely thinks about, and we know from experience with store owners that they’re a product category that can really surprise you sometimes. Our Butterfly Keyring, for instance, is one of those pieces that tends to attract a lot of attention in stores, especially when placed at high engagement areas like checkouts and impulse buy shelves.

We designed this one to be elegant yet vibrant, eye-catching yet sophisticated. It’s got a lot of rhinestones embedded into the butterfly frame, which is created from gold-coloured metal. While the rhinestones are definitely the focus here, the careful detailing with the gold plating brings it all together and ensures it’s not too much - really important to get right when you’re after a balance between glitzy and elegant.

It’s 4x5cm plus a keychain, so it fits easily in pockets and bags. And it can be used for so much more than just keys too - for bag pulls, decoration on zippers… or anywhere you want to add some colourful glam really!
