Curious, eye-catching, and maybe just a little bit cheeky - our Planter Jaz Giraffe has been raising some eyebrows (and turning heads) since we first got it in. Now, the first thing you’ll probably notice is that soft ceramic finish and glaze on top - the body itself is nice and glossy but there’s just enough floral patterning to help highlight those lines.
It stands at 16x9x19cm and really is that rare one - a handmade ceramic stoneware piece that gets everything right from the floral pattern to the glazed white finish without going overboard. That handmade character does mean each giraffe ends up a tad different to the others and that gives your clients that slightly premium feel we see so often in these handmade pieces. The legs are intentionally left unglazed, so you get a nice contrast of texture without having things feel too mismatched, and it’s on those four sturdy legs that we think this piece really comes into its own. A display where this giraffe stands over other planters or ceramics can be a clever way to keep people thinking about it even as they walk around the store.
The long neck gives you plenty of room for taller plants too (that succulent in our photo? Just a suggestion). But what we find fun here is how easily this can work with so many interior themes - whether that’s boho chic or soft pastels or even more tropical themes with pinks and greens. It’s a real standout piece and works well both as an anchor for store displays or as a focal point for customer interiors at their own residences.
