It's made from chunky MDF with a lovely, smooth sanded top, and sits on three minimalist black metal legs. The larger size (34x34x13cm) makes it ideal for centrepieces, plants, candles or even as a catch-all in the entryway.

There’s nothing mass produced about this timber riser - you can tell from just one look at the cut top, how it sort of meanders in its own shape. We like to think of these as show-off stands for displays that need a bit more presence - maybe those big floral arrangements, or the odd centrepiece for events. Each one is made with MDF and metal so you get that stability without any risk of warping or splitting on the wood. Metal does all the heavy lifting underneath and lifts it off the surface by about 13cm. The timber rings are visible across the top, so every piece is different. It’s nice to run your hands across it too - you really get the feel of wood without any splinters. The finish is quite smooth but not shiny so it looks great with glass and mirrors and even marble bases because the contrast helps frame it all. This is our largest size at 34x34x13cm so you’ll want to give it some space but as a statement riser, we find this ticks all our boxes.
