Our S/2 Condiment Bowl/Spoon Waiau set brings a bit of art and personality to the table. That organic wavy-edged shape and muted, almost stony glaze make it stand out from your usual condiment dishes - this one has that handmade vibe going on. We’re seeing more interest in those slightly irregular, natural shapes too; so much more interesting than perfect circles! Customers who appreciate a real ceramics feel will be drawn to these, and it’s such an easy way for someone to bring some earthy style to their dinner table. The bowl is 11x11x3.5cm and the spoon comes in at 8.5x3x0.5cm, so they do have a presence but aren’t oversized - we reckon one or two sets is all you’d need to complete a spread. Stoneware in that neutral grey shade fits in with just about any aesthetic and is easy to clean too, which helps with customer satisfaction down the line.
This S/2 Condiment Bowl/Spoon Waiau has this really elegant thing going for it - and once you notice that marbleised look, you'll know what we mean. This set features a 11x11x3.5cm bowl and an 8.5x3x0.5cm spoon, both with a soft, glazed finish on stoneware that's honestly pretty hard to find. And we've seen this go with just about any setting - the soft neutrals of these pieces with little indents and undulations in the shape actually make them more appealing when you see and hold them in person than in a photo. What does differ from set to set is how much of those neutral black-and-cream swirls show up on each piece (thanks to the reactive glaze), but that's part of the charm. And if you're wondering about maintenance, it's dishwasher safe as well as microwave safe (you'd be surprised how many people pop their condiments in the microwave).
