Here's something a bit out of the ordinary - our Shell Disc Bowl. We handmake these with ceramic and finish them with a reactive glaze that brings out a whole spectrum of colour tones - each one comes out totally unique. This is one that shoppers can look at up close and pick their favourite. It’s never just blue or white, sometimes you get both, sometimes you get one, and there are all sorts of in-betweens. That’s because every single piece will be slightly different thanks to the way we glaze it. That’s part of the fun here.
It’s a generous size too - 24 by 24 centimetres wide and 8 centimetres high - not so big it won’t fit on a bedside table or kitchen counter, but large enough to draw attention wherever someone puts it. Can hold trinkets, keys, coins, remotes - anything small really - or nothing at all if someone wants it for pure decorative value. We think this one makes a good addition to shops with beachy homewares or modern contemporary styles. Works well as an accent piece or part of a larger collection since it’s got such an unusual shape and finish.
