Trivet/Wall Plaque Shell

We’re not sure what we like more here - the blue-greys of the shell or that thin, hand-painted border. It’s a coastal style ceramic trivet for kitchens and living spaces but customers often buy them as wall art too. At 20x20cm, you get a decent size to protect from hot pots and platters, and the materials used are surprisingly durable (especially given how delicate it looks). We recommend these for boutiques with lots of marine-themed items on their shelves and eco-conscious customers - the palette is very subtle so these don’t clash with their existing style at home.

We’ve noticed that coastal trends are sticking around, and our Trivet/Wall Plaque Shell is getting quite a few second glances. The hand-painted tube coral motif - in those blue and soft grey hues - seems to get people pausing mid-browse. It works beautifully as a trivet but more often than not, it ends up on the wall - or just on the kitchen bench. Nice size at 20x20cm so it isn’t competing with other pieces or getting lost behind a mug stand. This one’s made from resin with a sort of tactile, matte finish. Each piece has irregularities too, some roughness here and there from the handcrafting process, which we don’t mind. Actually - we prefer it this way because it feels authentic. Makes each piece unique. What clients seem to like is the way those irregularities frame that hand-brushed illustration so there’s depth from all sides. No credits for minor flaws though, unfortunately; just letting you know ahead of time.
