We always find that lamps are one of those practical things that become something more - Cairo Mist is one of them for us. The textured grey ceramic base with this muted, slightly speckled and semi-gloss finish looks like a golf ball but still feels subtle and contemporary. If we’re talking about design, it sits somewhere between playful and mature, which can be hard to strike.
And the base is topped with a slim drum shade in an almost white fabric with warmer undertones. The overall effect is both bold and gentle at the same time. That’s why we love it. It can be used as an accent piece to add subtle character or create visual flow in rooms. We’ve found 30x21x45.5cm dimensions work best on compact console tables or bedside tables but if you have a large desk or bookshelf, this lamp is just the right enough to catch the eye without overwhelming any of your existing decor.
